Conveyancing Solicitor
Full-time Hybrid London, United Kingdom
We are seeking an experienced Conveyancing Solicitor with approximately three years’ post-qualification experience to manage a varied caseload of residential and light commercial property matters.
Working closely with partners, colleagues and support staff, you will provide clear, practical and commercially focused legal advice while ensuring transactions progress efficiently and clients receive an consistently high standard of service.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage conveyancing transactions from initial instruction through to completion and post-completion.
- Handle pre-contract enquiries, property searches, exchange of contracts, completion and registration formalities.
- Draft, review and negotiate contracts, transfers, leases, mortgage documentation and related property agreements.
- Identify and resolve legal, procedural and practical issues proactively.
- Liaise with lenders, surveyors, estate agents, managing agents, local authorities and other solicitors.
- Maintain accurate, compliant and up-to-date case files, billing records and time entries.
- Meet agreed service standards, deadlines, billing expectations and productivity targets.
- Ensure all matters are handled in accordance with regulatory requirements, internal procedures and professional standards.
Person Specification
- Qualified solicitor in England and Wales with approximately three years’ PQE in residential conveyancing.
- Demonstrable ability to manage a caseload independently and progress transactions efficiently.
- Strong drafting, negotiation, problem-solving and communication skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
- Professional, organised, commercially aware and committed to delivering excellent client service.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
