If you have a ground-breaking business idea that stands out in the market, our expertise can help you navigate the requirements and secure this visa to bring your vision to life.

Overview

The Innovator Founder Visa is your gateway to establishing and operating a business in the UK that's truly revolutionary. This visa was formerly known as the Innovator Visa, and it offers you the opportunity to create something entirely new and different from anything else on the market.

Eligibility

To qualify for the Innovator Founder Visa, your business idea must fulfil the following criteria:

New and Innovative: Your business idea must be unique, original, and different from anything currently available in the market.
Viable and Scalable: Your business should have the potential for growth, be viable, and scalable. This includes plans for job creation and expansion into national and international markets.

The Endorsement Process

Before applying for the Innovator Founder Visa, you'll need to have your business idea assessed and endorsed by an approved endorsing body. This endorsement is a critical step in demonstrating that your business idea meets the eligibility requirements. The endorsing body will issue you an endorsement letter if your idea is deemed eligible.

Additional Eligibility

In addition to obtaining an endorsement, you must:
  • Meet English Language Requirements
  • Prove Sufficient Personal Savings

Setting Up a New Business

If you're establishing a new business, you'll need to demonstrate to your endorsing body that you have adequate funding and provide information about its source. However, investment funds aren't required if your business is already established and endorsed for a previous visa or if you've changed your business and received approval from your endorsing body.

Duration and Progress Assessment

With the Innovator Founder Visa, you can stay in the UK for up to 3 years. During this period, you'll need to meet with your endorsing body after 12 months and 24 months to showcase the progress you've made with your business. If your endorsement is withdrawn by the endorsing body, your visa may be shortened. To extend your stay beyond the initial 3 years, you'll need to reapply with a new endorsement before your current visa expires.
